Network Analysis with AWARD
Dates: April 2017 - May 2018
Project: African Women in Agricultural Research and Development is a career-development program that provides fellowships to top women agricultural scientists across sub-Saharan Africa to accelerate agricultural gains by strengthening their science and leadership skills.
During 2017 and 2018, AWARD embarked on a comprehensive study to determine both the state of women in African agricultural research, and the state of research on gender in African agriculture. The program partnered with the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) in Washington, D.C.. Flux trained the ICRW team on Social Network Analysis (SNA) and provided tools to, among other things, map networks of collaborating scientists and institutions.
