EMPLOY Collaborative Pathways Mapping
[in collaboration with Schoop Consulting]
Dates: June 2015 – November 2015
Project: The EMPLOY Collaborative is one of 21 collective impact ‘backbone’ organizations funded by the Aspen Institute’s Opportunity Youth Incentive Fund (OYIF) and the White House’s Social Innovation Fund (SIF) nationwide. Its purpose is working to coordinate and align policies and practices to maximize employment and educational opportunities for opportunity youth (OY) in New Orleans. With support from Baptist Community Ministries, the EMPLOY Pathways committee contracted Schoop Consulting and FluxRME to engage in a participatory process to create a visual data-driven ‘Pathways to Employment’ map. The map and supporting gap analysis report depict the pathways and barriers for opportunity youth in New Orleans in seeking employment in five high growth, high demand industry clusters.
